Overall, very good! Good guidance for safe confident driving
My experience with Bastiaens was great! Paul was very patient and encouraging; he paid great attention to detail and was specific in his feedback on exactly how I could improve. He never gave up on me, and always kept a positive attitude when facing challenges. He can sometimes be tough and harsh, but it’s only for your own good, to pass your test and more importantly make you a safe and confident driver!
I started with Manual with Williem, who was also great. He was also very honest with me, and suggested I try for automatic. He could see from early on that manual was especially a struggle, so instead of wasting my time (and money) he affirmed me in my switch over, something I am very grateful for.
The only thing I think they could do better is sometimes I ask a question and they say “it’s a feeling, driving is a feeling”, which is totally true and fair but also not always the most helpful after they could have given. There were times I wish they gave just a bit more guidance on some practical tips. For example, I learned from YouTube videos & other people who drive some tips on what to look in the side mirror when you want to change lanes that helped me a lot… If i ask the instructors they say it’s a feeling… and yes, driving is not an exact science but sometimes a few more things like this as general guidelines can be helpful too
Overall, still a very good driving school with lots of options for lessons! I 100% recommend! They really hold your hand through the challenge of driving and really focus on how you can become a safe driver
